We were actually looking for a red bag and settled for the pink when we could not find that color (after I ordered this bag, we saw a red one in a mall in a different city). The bag has been a good one, the only problem my daughter had with the bag is after a short while, the pink began to discolor and although in every other way, the bag was good, it did not look good. It looked old very fast. Anyway, thanks for your concern. As far as bags go, JanSport is all we buy and think it is a great product. Think Pink! I have had four other briefcases before this and this is the best because it is light and not too bulky, but it can expand alot when you stuff it. I took it on a trip to spain with the matching 22 inch upright carry-on suitcase (see my other testimonial on that one), and it works great with that. You can put the handle up through the flap on the back and carry them together, or you can strap it on the back of the suitcase (I prefer the latter, it balances the load perfectly and it is easier to take off everytime you go through security). The strap is comfortable and the bag lays nice and flat when it only has my computer in it. Looks great too!
